Bright Sunshine
Bright sunshine for the 2nd day in London. Walked to the V&A, discovered Brompton Cemetery, with a cafe our end and James Blunt’s pub, The Fox & Pheasant on the Fulham Road end. Perfect. Walked past Troubadour, long-standing restaurant & music venue established 1956, which has hosted; Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Charlie Watts, Adele, Florence & the Machine, etc. Through V&A doors, 40 minutes door-to-door. Galleries can wait, lunch first. Had a delicious confit of duck with red cabbage, beetroot, celeriac and lentils. Keep it bright, keep it healthy. The Great Mughals exhibition, a golden age 1560 to 1660, the big 3 being; Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jahan. Saw the forerunner of Braxton weight test, the emperor Shah Jahan being weighed against precious metals on his birthday. NB. Shah Jahan goes on to build the Taj Mahal in Agra. Saw a 90carat emerald, similar size to my Crocodile Stone.
